Sustainable and economical
alternative to R22
For nearly four decades, R22 has been widely used as the industry’s standard refrigerant. However, concerns over its environmental impact and cost have prompted global action, leading to its gradual phase-out from the market. We understood the need and devised an ideal solution – an eco-friendly substitute for R22 that does not require replacement of equipment and has no additional costs.
Introducing F 467A!

Why FLORON 467A?
F 467A is the greenest, most eco-friendly replacement for R22 and it serves as an ideal substitute for various cooling applications.
- Easy Retrofit Solution: Seamless transition from R22 with no additional oil change
- Hassle free: No additional cost required while enjoying the same performance
- Lower Environmental Impact: Zero ozone depletion potential and reduced global warming potential compared to other R22 alternatives
- Superior Performance: Equivalent cooling capacity and performance to R22, with lower discharge temperatures. This will increase the lifespan of the equipment and compressor

Why is R467A an ideal retrofit for R22?
R467A is the ideal retrofit for R22 because it offers comparable cooling and efficiency while reducing environmental impact and enhancing safety standards. We have compared the physical properties of R22 and R467a refrigerants below:

How to use FLORON 467A?
Wear safety gloves, glasses, and shoes before starting the process
Use a recovery machine to recover R-22 from the outdoor unit into a recovery cylinder. Make sure you connect charging tubes properly to the inlets and outlets of the recovery machine and cylinder before starting the process.
Remember: Never vent R-22 into the atmosphere!
Connect a vacuum pump to the cooling system via a vacuum hose, then open the valve and start the pump. Check the vacuum using a Micron Gauge and ensure it reads below 400 Micron. Now connect one end of the charging hose to the discharge port of the recovery unit and the other end to the R-22 vacuum cylinder.
FLORON 467a requires no oil change and is compatible with both Mineral Oil and POE Oil. It should always be charged in a liquid form, and not mixed with R-22.
To recharge, fully open the inlet valve of the Manifold Gauge followed by the outlet valve. Re-scale the weighing scale to zero and begin charging.
FLORON 467A requires 80% of the charge quantity specified for R-22 and operates at lower pressures for efficient cooling, typically between 60-65 PSI compared to R-22’s 70-75 PSI.
